The road to Santiago de Compostela is an intense journey both on a physical and emotional level: both body and mind learn, develop and experience a new awakening. Photographer Céline Anaya Gautier has traveled this time-honored pilgrimage route seven times in the past fourteen years, starting from Paris or Le Puy-en-Velay. In this book, she shares her experience and those of the pilgrims she has met along the road. Hailing from the four corners of the world, (e.g. Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Australia, Uruguay, Brazil, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Romania, Morocco, Israel, etc…), they are committed body and soul to this immemorial path. Thirty-six of them share their stories here, embarking the readers on a journey that knows neither borders nor nationalities, with every individual freely expressing his feelings and opening his heart.
